2025 was my second full year selling on Vinted, and once again I tracked every sale. Like many people, I originally joined Vinted as a way to declutter my home. We had accumulated years of clothing, baby items, shoes, household goods, and hobby supplies that were no longer being used but were still in good condition. Rather than donating everything immediately, I decided to see how much I could realistically earn by selling some of these items.
If you’re curious where this journey started, I previously shared my first-year results. In 2024, I completed 52 sales and earned 1,020.50 lei ($223.40).
Going into 2025, I already had experience with the platform, active listings from the previous year, and a better understanding of what tends to sell. I knew how to photograph items more effectively, write clearer descriptions, price products more realistically, and package orders quickly.
This article is a complete breakdown of my second year on Vinted, including every sale, monthly earnings, what worked, what didn’t, and whether I think the platform is still worth using after two years.
All sales below are listed in Romanian lei exactly as they appeared on Vinted. Monthly totals and yearly totals are also converted into U.S. dollars for easier comparison.
How Much I Sold Through 2025
January 2025 – $19.94, 4 Sales
This was the start of my second year on Vinted. Since I already had numerous active listings from 2024, I didn’t need to build my inventory from scratch. Instead, I continued adding items as I decluttered my home. January was a solid month, with 4 sales bringing in almost $20.
Total: 91.24 lei ($19.94)
- 17.24 lei 2 items bundle, Sports shoes and shower gel
- 38.00 lei Kids rainboots
- 21.00 lei 4 items bundle, Kids pants, shower gel, kids bathing suit
- 15.00 lei Men shoes
February 2025 – $11.33, 3 Sales
I wasn’t very active on Vinted this month and added few new listings. Even so, several older items found new homes, resulting in 3 sales. Clearly, even when I’m not actively listing, some items continue selling in the background.
Total: 51.75 lei ($11.33)
- 22.50 lei Kids shirt
- 14.25 2 items bundle, Two pairs of maternity jeans
- 15.00 lei Kids jacket
March 2025 – $27.30, 2 Sales
March was a month of practical decluttering. While refreshing my son’s wardrobe, I listed several pairs of shoes that no longer fit him. I also decided to part with a cooking steamer that we never used and it was just taking up space. The steamer sold almost immediately.
Total: 124.72 lei ($27.30)
- 52.72 3 items bundle, Three pairs of kid shoes
- 72.00 lei Cooking steamer
April 2025 – $4.82, 2 Sales
I wasn’t very active on Vinted during April and only managed to sell two older listings. Although the earnings were small, every sale helped free up a little more storage space.
Total: 22.00 lei ($4.82)
- 10.00 lei Women running shoes
- 12.00 lei Baby overalls
May 2025 – $0.00, 0 Sales
I didn’t add any new listings this month, and none of my existing items sold. Looking back, this month highlighted something I noticed throughout the year: periods of inactivity were often followed by fewer sales.
Total: 0.00 lei ($0.00)
June 2025 – $20.36, 9 Sales
After a slow May, I became much more active and started listing additional items around the house. The results were almost immediate, I completed 9 sales during the month. Most purchases were inexpensive items, but together they added up to more than $20 while helping me clear out several small items that had been taking up space.
Total: 93.00 lei ($20.36)
- 9.00 lei kids sandals
- 5.00 lei men’s sport shoes
- 10.00 lei baby bathtub support
- 6.00 lei women’s leather belt
- 7.00 lei baby overalls
- 10.00 lei bicycling blouse
- 7.00 lei bicycling blouse
- 20.00 lei men’s shorts
- 19.00 lei women’s sandals
July 2025 – $17.73, 2 Sales
This month was driven by two larger items that sold shortly after being listed: a children’s desk that my son had outgrown and his old feeding chair. Although there were only 2 sales, they generated almost the same income as June’s 9 sales combined.
Total: 81.00 lei ($17.73)
- 36.00 lei kid’s desk
- 45.00 lei baby feeding chair
August 2025 – $69.72, 5 Sales
August became my highest-earning month of the year. After returning from vacation, I spent some time listing additional items and quickly received several sales. The biggest sale was a child car seat that my son had outgrown. While the sale itself was great, shipping the car seat was far less convenient because it didn’t fit in an Easybox locker and required a special trip to a courier office. That experience led me to an important decision: in the future, I would focus primarily on items that fit easily into an Easybox, while larger items would be donated or recycled.
Total: 318.50 lei ($69.72)
- 6.00 lei women belts
- 20.00 lei tea cup
- 70.00 lei women sport shoes
- 200.00 lei baby car chair
- 22.50 lei 4 items bundle, Women bras
September 2025 – $17.08, 4 Sales
September was a fairly average month. I listed a few additional items, completed 4 sales, and earned just over $17. Nothing particularly unusual happened this month, but it showed that consistent small sales can continue contributing to overall yearly earnings.
Total: 78.00 lei ($17.08)
- 6.00 lei baby bibs
- 27.00 lei 4 items bundle, Stroller toy, baby overalls, baby bodysuits
- 5.00 lei women vest
- 40.00 lei kids jacket
October 2025 – $59.79, 8 Sales
October was one of the most productive months of the year. As I continued decluttering, I decided to reduce my yarn stash by selling some skeins that I was unlikely to use. At the same time, I switched my son’s wardrobe to the new season and listed clothing and shoes he had already outgrown. Children’s shoes proved especially popular, accounting for several of the month’s strongest sales. This month also confirmed that hobby supplies such as yarn can sell surprisingly well when priced realistically.
Total: 273.12 lei ($59.79)
- 12.00 lei knitting yarn
- 23.00 lei knitting yarn
- 44.00 lei kids shoes
- 56.85 lei kids shoes
- 10.50 lei yarn
- 42.80 lei 2 items bundle, Two bed blankets
- 40.00 lei impermeable bed sheet
- 43.97 lei kids shoes
November 2025 – $20.17, 5 Sales
In November I continued listing a mix of yarn, children’s items, and miscellaneous household goods. One thing I enjoy about Vinted is that almost every category seems to have an audience. During this month alone, buyers purchased everything from knitting yarn and children’s clothing to an air freshener dispenser.
Total: 92.14 lei ($20.17)
- 23.00 lei Knitting yarn
- 35.00 lei kids boots
- 5.14 lei air freshener dispenser
- 19.00 lei 2 items bundle, Kids toy and kids overalls
- 10.00 lei baby sweater
December 2025 – $29.81, 3 Sales
I wasn’t particularly active during December, but several listings still sold before the end of the year. The sales included boots, yarn, baby items, and bundles, reflecting the wide variety of products I had accumulated throughout my decluttering journey. It was a pleasant way to close out another year on Vinted.
Total: 136.16 lei ($29.81)
- 55.00 lei women boots
- 31.16 lei 2 items bundle, knitting yarn
- 50.00 lei 5 items bundle Baby dishes, knitting yarn, kids blouse
Over the course of my second year on Vinted, I completed 47 orders and earned a total of 1,361.63 lei ($298.05).
While this amount won’t replace a salary, it’s important to remember where it came from. Most of these items had already served their purpose in our home. Some had been sitting unused in closets, storage boxes, drawers, or shelves for months or even years.
Instead of continuing to occupy valuable space, they found new homes while generating nearly $300 in extra income.
For me, that combination of decluttering and earning money is what makes Vinted attractive. The financial gain is nice, but the extra space and reduced clutter are often just as valuable.
2025 vs 2024
By 2025, I had already gained a year of experience using Vinted. I started the year with many active listings and a much better understanding of how the platform works.
I diversified my inventory by listing knitting yarn from my craft stash, household items, accessories, and more of my son’s outgrown clothes and shoes. I also improved the quality of my photos, wrote better descriptions, and became more selective about which items were worth listing.
The results were interesting. Although I completed fewer orders in 2025 than in 2024 (47 compared to 52), I actually earned significantly more money.
- 2024: 52 sales, 1,020.50 lei ($223.40)
- 2025: 47 sales, 1,361.63 lei ($298.05)
That’s an increase of approximately 33% in earnings despite having 5 fewer sales.
The difference came from selling higher-value items such as furniture, baby equipment, household items, and larger bundles rather than relying mostly on low-priced clothing. This taught me that the number of sales matters less than the value of the items being sold.
Expectations vs. Reality
I talked about this in my previous article, but it’s still valid. The expectations are that buyers purchase multiple items at once so they could save on shipping costs and get bundle discounts. Reality is different. In 2025, out of 47 orders, only 10 orders were bundle purchases. And in 2024, out of 52 orders, only 13 were bundle purchases. Most buyers purchased a single item at a time.
Also, we post in hope that items will sell quickly. Some did, while others sat untouched for months despite being in excellent condition. At the end of 2025 I still have items listed at the beginning of 2024 (2 years old listings). Selling on Vinted taught me that decluttering for profit is usually a slow process rather than a quick one.
Advantages of Selling on Vinted
The biggest advantage is convenience. Vinted handles payments, shipping labels, order tracking, and communication through a single platform. Even price negotiations are simplified through an offer system, eliminating endless back-and-forth discussions.
Another major benefit is access to an international market. Living in Romania allows me to sell not only locally but also to buyers in Poland, Hungary, and Greece, greatly increasing the pool of potential customers.
I also appreciate the variety of categories available. During 2025, I sold clothing, shoes, knitting yarn, household items, furniture, baby equipment, and accessories. This flexibility makes it possible to recover at least part of the money invested in items that are taking up space in my home.
One unexpected benefit was learning what people actually value. Some items I assumed would be difficult to sell disappeared almost immediately, while others remained listed for months. Over time, this helped me better understand demand and price items more realistically.
Most importantly, Vinted helped me transform clutter into useful resources. Every package that left my home created a little more space while giving an item a second life with another family.
Disadvantages of Selling on Vinted
Visibility can be unpredictable. Sometimes I upload a listing and receive very few views, while other similar items sell quickly. Since duplicate listings are not allowed, refreshing older listings can be difficult.
Storage is another challenge. If you choose to sell instead of donate, you need a dedicated space for all listed items until they eventually sell. Some of my listings remained active for nearly two years, proving that decluttering through selling is often a slow process.
Packaging and shipping also require time and effort. Each sale may only take a few minutes to process, but those minutes add up over dozens of orders. Larger items can be particularly inconvenient. After selling a child car seat, which required a special trip to a courier office because it didn’t fit in an Easybox, I decided to focus primarily on smaller items that are easier to ship.
Pricing can also be frustrating. Buyers on Vinted are generally looking for bargains, which means prices are often much lower than the original purchase value. To sell successfully, it helps to view the money as a bonus rather than an attempt to recover your full investment.
Finally, sales are difficult to predict. My own results showed a clear connection between activity and sales. Months when I listed new items regularly produced more orders, while months when I stopped listing often produced little or no activity. Simply creating listings and waiting isn’t always enough; consistent activity appears to help maintain visibility.
Would I Use Vinted Again?
Absolutely. After two years on the platform, I can confidently say that Vinted helped me become more intentional about the things I own and keep in my home.
Between 2024 and 2025, I completed 99 sales and earned a combined total of 2,382.13 lei ($521.45). More importantly, I cleared out dozens of items that were no longer being used and gave them a chance to be useful to someone else.
The money was certainly welcome, but the biggest reward was the space I gained. Closets became easier to organize, storage areas became less crowded, and many items that once felt like clutter found new homes with people who actually needed them.
If you’re considering selling on Vinted, my advice is simple: be patient, price items realistically, keep listing consistently, and treat the earnings as a bonus rather than an expectation.
You probably won’t get rich selling your old belongings, but you may be surprised how much value is hiding in the things you no longer use.
For me, two years of selling resulted in over $500 earned, nearly one hundred completed sales, and a home that feels lighter and more organized. That’s a result I’m very happy with.

My Vinted Earnings in 2025 Chart

- August was my best month, earning $69.72 (318.50 lei), largely thanks to selling a baby car seat, sports shoes, and several other items after returning from vacation and actively posting new listings.
- October was the second-best month, with $59.79 (273.12 lei) in earnings, driven by children’s shoes, knitting yarn, bedding, and other decluttering finds.
- May was the slowest month, with no sales at all, corelated with me not posting any new listings.
- The second half of the year significantly outperformed the first half, generating most of my earnings as I became more active in listing items and expanded beyond clothing into household goods, baby equipment, and craft supplies.
- Earnings increased noticeably whenever I actively listed new items, particularly in June, August, and October, reinforcing my belief that consistency matters more than seasonality for casual Vinted sellers.
- Out of 47 orders, only 10 were bundle purchases. Just like in 2024, most buyers preferred purchasing a single item rather than taking advantage of bundle discounts and combined shipping.
